Come, Holy Ghost This English version of the Latin chant "Veni Creator Spiritus" written by Rabanus Maurus in the 9th century, was written by Bishop John Cosin for the coronation of King Charles I of Great Britain in 1625. The same words have been used at the coronation of every British monarch ever since. It is also during liturgical celebrations on the feast of Pentecost, the ordination of clergy, the dedication of churches, the celebration of synods or councils,, and other similar solemn events. The recording of this beautiful chant was made by the Choir of King's College, Cambridge.
